Australia’s Green Building Council rating system is very similar to the American LEED rating system. Both systems recognise the significant role air conditioning plays in both indoor air quality and energy use of our commercial buildings. They aim to:
"Balance the impacts of ventilation rates on energy use and Indoor air quality to optimize energy efficiency and Occupant health." (* LEED Indoor Air Quality)
